Flexline FL31-29076 Cat6a U/FTP (STP) network cable, 10 m, white, with RJ-45 connectors on both ends and gold-plated contacts. Designed for 10GBase-T networks, this cable supports up to 10 000 Mbit/s data rates and provides improved electromagnetic interference (EMI) protection thanks to foil-shielded pairs. The cable is intended for horizontal and patching connections between switches, routers, servers and wall outlets where a Cat6a specification and shielded performance are required.

Advantages

The foil-shielded twisted pairs (U/FTP) reduce crosstalk and external interference compared with unshielded cables, improving signal integrity in environments with potential EMI. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts offer reliable connectivity and corrosion resistance for sustained performance. With a 10 m length and Cat6a specification, the cable supports 10GBase-T transmission speeds while maintaining proper pair geometry for reduced latency and consistent throughput.

Suitable for

• Connecting switches and routers in server rooms and data cabinets
• Patching between network panels and active equipment
• High-speed Ethernet links up to 10 Gbit/s in short to medium runs
• Environments where foil shielding is needed to limit EMI

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6a
• Shielding: U/FTP (foil shielded pairs)
• Length: 10 m
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45, gold-plated contacts
• Supported standard: 10GBase-T
• Maximum data rate: up to 10 000 Mbit/s
• Colour: White

How to use

Route the cable between devices ensuring gentle bends and avoiding sharp kinks to preserve internal pair geometry. Insert RJ-45 plugs into compatible ports on switches, routers, network interface cards or patch panels until the connector latches. Verify link status on connected equipment; most devices will negotiate speed automatically. For best performance, avoid running the cable parallel to high-voltage power lines or close to heavy electrical equipment.

Recommendations

For stable 10GBase-T performance, keep cable runs within recommended lengths for horizontal and patch cabling, maintain proper bend radius, and ensure both ends are connected to equipment that supports Cat6a and shielded cabling. Use appropriate grounding practices for shielded installations if required by your network infrastructure.
