The equip® Cat.6A U/FTP Flat Patch Cable (10 m) is a high-performance network cable designed for 10GBase-T applications. It combines U/FTP shielding with RJ-45 gold-plated connectors to ensure reliable data transmission up to 10000 Mbit/s. The flat form factor and white finish make it suitable for installations in confined spaces and for tidy cable routing.

Advantages

The U/FTP shielding reduces electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, supporting stable high-speed connections. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors improve conductivity and contact reliability. The flat design saves space and simplifies laying the cable under carpets, along skirting boards or in cable ducts. The 10 m length provides flexibility for varied installation scenarios.

Suitable for

• 10GBase-T network connections
• Home and office LAN wiring
• Patch panels and switches with RJ-45 ports
• Installations in narrow conduits, under carpets or along walls

Key specifications

• Standard: Cat.6A (10GBase-T)
• Shielding: U/FTP
• Connector type: RJ-45 – RJ-45
• Data rate: up to 10000 Mbit/s
• Length: 10 m
• Colour: White
• Weight: 0.2408 kg

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 connector to the network device (switch, router or NIC) and the other to the destination device or patch panel. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click to guarantee a secure connection. Route the flat cable along skirting boards, under carpets or through cable ducts to minimize visibility and avoid sharp bends that could damage the cable.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid tight bending radii and keep the cable away from strong sources of electromagnetic interference. Use the cable for short to medium runs within buildings and verify link speed settings on network equipment to ensure 10G operation where supported.
