The EFB Elektronik K8704.10 RJ-45 Cat5e 10 m Blue networking cable is a shielded S/UTP cable designed for reliable wired Ethernet connections. With a 10-metre length and standard RJ-45 connectors at both ends, the cable supports 10/100/1000Base-T(X) data transmission and is suitable for linking computers, switches, routers and other network devices in home and office environments. The blue outer jacket provides easy visual identification in patch panels and cable runs.

Advantages

This Cat5e cable features S/UTP shielding which reduces electromagnetic interference for more stable signal transmission compared with unshielded alternatives. The RJ-45 terminations conform to common Ethernet standards, ensuring plug-and-play compatibility with network equipment. The 10 m length offers flexibility for many installation layouts without the need for intermediate couplers, and the durable blue jacket increases visibility and mechanical protection in everyday use.

Suitable for

• Connecting PCs, laptops or printers to a switch or router
• Wiring a home office or small business network
• Patch panel to switch connections in closets or racks
• Temporary or permanent network cabling where 10 m run is required

Key specifications

• Cable type: Cat5e S/UTP (shielded twisted pair)
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Supported networking: 10/100/1000Base-T(X)
• Length: 10 m
• Colour: blue

How to use

Insert each RJ-45 connector into the corresponding Ethernet port of your devices until a click confirms the latch is engaged. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends, extreme compression and sources of strong electromagnetic interference. For fixed installations, use appropriate cable management such as clips or cable ties to secure the run and reduce strain on the connectors. Test the connection using network diagnostics or a link/activity LED to confirm successful communication.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid running the cable parallel and close to mains power cables or heavy electrical equipment. Maintain bend radii recommended for twisted-pair cabling and replace the cable if connector latching becomes loose or the jacket shows significant wear. For longer runs or environments with high electromagnetic noise, consider higher-category or fully shielded cabling.
