The EFB Elektronik K8054.25 RJ-45 Cat6a 25 m Blue is a shielded Ethernet cable designed for high-speed network connections. Built to Cat6a specification with S/FTP shielding and RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts, the cable supports 10GBase-T performance and enables data transfer rates up to 10,000 Mbit/s over a 25-metre length. The blue outer jacket provides easy visual identification in installations.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding reduces electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, improving signal integrity in environments with multiple cables and electronic equipment. The Cat6a specification ensures performance for 10GBase-T networks, and gold-plated RJ-45 contacts provide reliable conductivity and corrosion resistance for stable connections. A 25 m length accommodates longer runs without additional couplers.

Suitable for

• 10GBase-T Ethernet networks in office or server-room environments
• High-speed internet connections for routers, switches and NAS devices
• Structured cabling where shielded Cat6a cables are required
• Home or small-business setups that need reliable long cable runs

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6a
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil with individually shielded pairs)
• Length: 25 m
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Supported standard: 10GBase-T
• Maximum data rate: up to 10,000 Mbit/s
• Colour: Blue

How to use

Uncoil the cable carefully to avoid kinks and route it along the desired path, keeping it clear of strong electromagnetic sources where possible. Plug the RJ-45 connector into the network port of your device and the other end into a switch, router or wall outlet. For permanent installations, secure the cable with appropriate clips or cable management systems and avoid sharp bends that could affect performance.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use the cable within recommended bend radius limits, maintain separation from high-voltage power lines, and ensure connectors are fully seated. When deploying in mixed-cable bundles, verify grounding and earthing practices for shielded cabling to maintain shielding effectiveness.
