DIGITUS CAT 7 S-FTP PiMF installation cable in orange, 100 m ring, designed for structured cabling in buildings. The raw Duplex cable uses AWG 23/1 conductors and meets standards for high-frequency transmission up to 1200 MHz. It is intended for installation of class F (Cat7) cable lines and complies with ISO/IEC 11801, DIN EN 50173 and DIN EN 50288-4-1. The sheath is LSZH/LSOH to limit smoke and toxic gas in case of fire.

Advantages

The S-FTP PiMF design provides individual pair shielding plus an overall screen to minimise electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, supporting reliable high-bandwidth performance. AWG 23/1 conductors and a 1200 MHz rating enable stable transmission for demanding network applications. The LSZH outer jacket reduces harmful emissions in enclosed spaces, and the 100 m ring format is suitable for installation runs during building wiring projects.

Suitable for

• Structured cabling in secondary and tertiary building areas
• Installation of class F (Cat7) cable lines up to 1000 MHz
• High-bandwidth Ethernet backbones and horizontal cabling

Key specifications

• Cable type: Cat7 S-FTP PiMF (2x 4x2xAWG23)
• Conductor: AWG 23/1
• Frequency rating: up to 1200 MHz
• Length: 100 m (ring)
• Sheath material: LSZH/LSOH
• Colour: Orange
• Standards: ISO/IEC 11801, DIN EN 50173, DIN EN 50288-4-1

How to use

Install the cable as part of the building’s structured cabling system following local wiring practices and the relevant standards. Terminate both ends with appropriate Cat7-compatible connectors or use patch panels and keystone jacks rated for Cat7. Ensure correct pair handling to preserve the PiMF shielding and maintain bend radius and pull tensions during installation to avoid damage to the conductors or shielding.

Recommendations

Use this Cat7 S-FTP cable for new installations or upgrades that require minimized crosstalk and high-frequency performance; verify compatibility of termination hardware and observe LSZH handling precautions when routing through enclosed or public areas.
