DIGITUS Category 5e Class D patch cords provide standardized, high-quality copper connections for structured cabling. Designed and tested to ISO/IEC 11801 and DIN EN 50173 Category 5e specifications, these patch cords deliver verified performance up to 100 MHz, including parameters such as near-end crosstalk (NEXT). Each cable includes a molded boot with kink protection, strain relief and a latch protector to reduce the risk of connector damage. The transparent blue plug allows quick visual identification of Category 5e cabling.

Advantages

The patch cords are manufactured to meet ISO & EN channel requirements, ensuring compatibility with existing Category 5e installations. Molded boots with strain relief and kink protection increase connector longevity, while the latch protector minimizes accidental lever breakage. Transparent blue connectors help technicians quickly identify Category 5e cables during installation and maintenance.

Key specifications

• Standard: ISO/IEC 11801, DIN EN 50173 (Category 5e)
• Class: Class D
• Frequency range: up to 100 MHz
• Performance tested: includes NEXT (near-end crosstalk)
• Connector: RJ45 with transparent blue plug and metal shielding
• Boot: molded boot with kink protection, strain relief and latch protector

How to use

Install the patch cord by inserting the RJ45 connector into the corresponding socket until the latch clicks. Use the molded boot to guide the cable and avoid sharp bends; the strain relief and kink protection are intended to reduce mechanical stress at the connector. For rack or patch-panel work, route the cable to avoid excessive tension and prevent interference with adjacent cables. Replace the cord if the latch, boot or connector shows visible damage.
