The Dätwyler Cables 21.05.0513 Green 1 m Cat6a S/FTP is a 1-metre Ethernet patch cable engineered for high-performance network connections. It conforms to Cat6a specifications and uses S/FTP (screened overall with individually foiled pairs) shielding to limit electromagnetic interference and maintain signal integrity in demanding environments. Both ends are fitted with standard RJ-45 connectors, providing plug-and-play compatibility with switches, routers, patch panels and network interface cards. The green jacket makes cable identification and color-coded installations straightforward.

Advantages

This Cat6a S/FTP cable provides enhanced data integrity and reduced crosstalk compared with unshielded alternatives, supporting higher frequencies up to Cat6a standards. The screened and individually foiled pairs reduce susceptibility to external interference from adjacent cables and equipment, improving throughput stability in dense cabling environments. The cable’s RJ-45 terminations are compatible with common networking hardware, simplifying deployment while the 1 m length is convenient for short links such as between devices and patch panels or wall outlets.

Suitable for

• Short patch connections between switches, patch panels and workstations
• Office and data-center racks with colour-coded cable management
• Environments requiring reduced electromagnetic interference
• Gigabit and 10 Gigabit Ethernet links within Cat6a performance limits

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6a
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid + individually foiled pairs)
• Length: 1 m
• Connector type: RJ-45 on both ends
• Jacket colour: Green
• Intended use: Ethernet patch cable for high-frequency data transmission

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 connector to the network device (switch, router or network interface) and the other end to the corresponding port on the patch panel or endpoint device. Ensure connectors are fully seated until they click to secure the connection. Route the cable following your rack or desk cable management paths and avoid tight bends or sharp kinks; maintain the vendor-recommended minimum bend radius. For optimal shielding performance, keep the cable’s connector shields in contact with grounded ports or shielded patch panels where available.
