Καλώδιο δικτύωσης Helos Cat 6a S/FTP 15 m

The Helos Cat 6a S/FTP 15 m networking cable is a shielded twisted-pair Ethernet cable designed for structured cabling and high-speed data transmission. With a 15 m length and factory-fitted RJ-45 connectors on both ends, the cable provides a ready-to-use solution for connecting switches, routers, patch panels, servers, and workstations. The S/FTP (Shielded Foiled Twisted Pair) construction reduces crosstalk and external electromagnetic interference, helping maintain signal integrity over longer distances. The cable’s yellow jacket improves visibility within racks and cable runs.

Advantages

The S/FTP shielding improves resistance to electromagnetic interference compared with unshielded alternatives, which is useful in environments with multiple adjacent cables or electronic equipment. As a Cat 6a-rated cable, it supports higher bandwidths and more stable Gigabit and 10 Gigabit Ethernet connections where infrastructure and devices allow. Pre-terminated RJ-45 plugs ensure immediate installation without additional tools for termination. The 15 m length balances reach and signal performance for mid-range connections in offices, server rooms, or home setups.

Suitable for (tasks / use cases)

• Connecting network switches and patch panels in office racks
• Linking routers to access points or networked devices
• Cabling between workstations and wall outlets
• Temporary or semi-permanent setups for events and IT maintenance

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat 6a (augmented Category 6)
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid plus individual foil around pairs)
• Length: 15 m
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45, factory-terminated
• Colour: Yellow jacket for easy identification

How to use

Inspect both RJ-45 connectors and the cable jacket for damage before installation. Route the cable avoiding sharp bends and high-heat environments; maintain bend radius consistent with manufacturer guidance for shielded twisted-pair cables. Plug one RJ-45 connector into the device or port to be connected and the other into the corresponding switch, patch panel, or wall outlet. For best performance, avoid running the cable in parallel alongside high-voltage power lines and secure it with clips or cable ties at reasonable intervals to prevent strain on connectors.

Recommendations

For optimal network performance, pair this Cat 6a S/FTP cable with compatible Cat 6a or better hardware and properly grounded patch panels or switches to make use of the shielding. Test connections with a network tester after installation to verify continuity and performance. Replace the cable if the jacket or connectors show signs of wear, corrosion, or repeated mechanical stress.
