InLine Mini SAS HD Cable SFF-8643 to SFF-8087 with Sideband 0.5m. Cable length: 0.5 m, Connector 1: SFF-8087, Connector 2: SFF-8087. Package width: 100 mm, Package depth: 140 mm, Package height: 18 mm. Package volume: 300 cm³

How to use

Install the cable internally by powering down the system and opening the server or workstation chassis. Align the SFF-8643 plug with the Mini SAS HD 4i port on the SAS controller and insert until it seats firmly; align the SFF-8087 end with the backplane or target device and insert. Secure any cable routing to avoid strain on connectors and restore power. Verify device detection in the system BIOS or RAID controller utility.

Recommendations

Use this 0.5 m Mini SAS HD cable for short internal connections only. Avoid bending the cable sharply near the connectors, keep the routing clear of fans and hot components, and ensure the system is powered off before connecting or disconnecting to prevent connector damage.
