Hama 00200918 Καλώδιο δικτύου Γκρι 10 m Cat5e F/UTP (FTP)

The Hama 00200918 10m Cat5e F/UTP networking cable is a shielded Ethernet cable designed for wired network connections. It uses the Cat5e standard with F/UTP shielding and is fitted with RJ-45 connectors on both ends, offering compatibility with routers, switches, network cards and other Ethernet-enabled devices. The cable supports data transfer rates up to 1000 Mbit/s and is supplied in a neutral grey colour suitable for home and office installations.

Advantages

F/UTP shielding reduces electromagnetic interference from external sources, improving signal stability in environments with nearby electrical equipment. The Cat5e specification provides reliable gigabit-capable wiring for typical LAN applications. With RJ-45 connectors on both ends and a 10 m length, the cable offers flexibility for connecting devices across rooms without the need for additional adapters. The grey jacket provides a discreet appearance that blends with most interiors.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop computers, laptops or network printers to a router or switch
• Wired connections in small office or home network setups
• Temporary or permanent cable runs between network devices up to 10 m apart

Key specifications

• Cable length: 10 m
• Cable category: Cat5e
• Shielding: F/UTP (foil-shielded pairs with overall unshielded braid)
• Connectors: RJ-45 on both ends
• Maximum supported data rate: up to 1000 Mbit/s
• Colour: Grey

How to use

To use the Hama Cat5e cable, plug one RJ-45 connector into the Ethernet port of your network device and the other connector into the corresponding port on a router, modem or switch. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the retaining clip engages. Route the cable to avoid tight bends, sharp edges and sources of strong electromagnetic interference. For best results, keep the cable length within 10 m between devices.

Recommendations

For stable gigabit performance, use the cable for standard LAN connections and avoid running it alongside power cables for long distances. Inspect connectors for damage before use and replace the cable if the jacket or connectors show visible wear. When installing in permanent or structured cabling, verify compatibility with existing networking equipment and maintain appropriate bend radius to preserve signal quality.
