Φορητός αναγνώστης barcode Datalogic Gryphon I GD4220

The Datalogic Gryphon I GD4220 is a wired handheld barcode reader for 1D linear barcodes. Built for general-purpose scanning, it delivers class-leading decode performance for near and far distances and can read high-density and low-resolution codes as well as poorly printed or damaged symbols. The ergonomic white housing, light weight (0.163 kg) and compact dimensions (166 mm x 68 mm) make the GD4220 suitable for frequent use in retail, logistics and office environments. The scanner connects via USB and runs on a 5 V supply, offering reliable wired connectivity and ESD protection with IP52 resistance against dust and water.

Advantages

The GD4220 provides fast decoding up to 400 reads/s and reliable capture of GS1 DataBar 1D formats. Motionix™ motion-sensing technology places the scanner into ready-to-read mode based on operator movement, while the soft line viewfinder simplifies aiming and reduces accidental reads when multiple barcodes are present. Its wired USB connection ensures continuous power and a stable data link suitable for point-of-sale and fixed-station use.

Suitable for

• Retail point-of-sale scanning
• Inventory and stock management in warehouses
• Shipping and receiving stations
• Office document and asset tracking

How to use

Connect the GD4220 to a host device via the USB cable and ensure the host supplies 5 V. Hold the scanner with the soft line viewfinder aimed at the barcode and perform a steady sweep or point-and-shoot motion; Motionix™ will switch the unit into ready-to-read mode automatically when it detects operator movement. Ensure the barcode is within the scanner’s field of view and allow the reader to decode; the device will signal a successful read according to the configured feedback method.

Recommendations

For best results, keep the scanner window clean and avoid direct exposure to strong liquids despite the IP52 rating. Use the wired USB connection for continuous operation in fixed workstations and avoid using unsupported 2D codes, as the GD4220 is designed for 1D linear symbologies only.
