Exertis Connect 392774 Glasfaserkabel, 5 m, ST σε ST, OM3, aqua

For data centre technicians and network engineers connecting fibre optic equipment with ST interfaces, this 5-metre multimode patch cable provides reliable 10 Gigabit Ethernet links. The OM3 fibre supports 10 GbE up to 300 metres at 850 nm, making it suitable for backbone and high-speed server connections.

Key specifications

• Length: 5 m
• Fibre type: OM3 multimode 50/125 µm
• Connectors: ST to ST
• Jacket colour: Aqua
• Jacket material: PVC
• Insertion loss: < 0.3 dB
• Return loss: > 30 dB

Why choose it

The aqua jacket instantly identifies this as an OM3 cable, preventing mix-ups with older OM1/OM2 cables. Duplex construction with two fibres supports bidirectional communication, and the ST connectors feature a bayonet-style twist lock for secure connections in high-vibration environments.

Ideal use cases

• Connecting switches, routers, and servers in data centres
• 10 Gigabit Ethernet backbone links up to 300 m
• Fibre Channel storage area networks
• Legacy ST infrastructure upgrades requiring OM3 performance

Good to know

OM3 fibre is laser-optimised for VCSEL transceivers, ensuring reliable performance at 10 Gb/s. The PVC jacket is durable and flame-retardant for indoor use. This cable is ideal for installations where ST connectors are already deployed, eliminating the need for adapters.
