The METZ CONNECT 151P1EOEO10E 2x SC OS2 1m Yellow is a single-mode fibre optic patch cable designed for reliable point-to-point connections in structured cabling, telecommunications and data centre environments. It features OS2 optical fibre with a 9 µm core diameter and two SC connectors on each end. The 1 m length and yellow jacket provide clear identification and convenient routing in rack and patch panel installations.

Advantages

This fibre optic cable offers low attenuation and stable signal transmission suitable for long-distance single-mode links. The standardized SC connectors ensure simple push-pull mating and broad compatibility with common fibre ports. The compact 1 m length reduces excess cable management in dense installations while the yellow outer jacket improves visibility and helps separate single-mode circuits from other cable types.

Suitable for

• Patch connections between equipment and patch panels in data centres
• Single-mode links in telecommunications racks and distribution frames
• Connection of optical transceivers and fibre modules with SC interfaces
• Short rack-to-rack or shelf-to-shelf interconnects where 1 m length is required

Key specifications

• Fibre type: Single-mode OS2
• Core diameter: 9 µm
• Connectors: 2x SC on each end
• Cable length: 1 m
• Outer colour: Yellow

How to use

Insert each SC connector into the matching SC port until it clicks, ensuring proper alignment of the ferrule and adapter. Avoid touching connector endfaces; inspect and, if necessary, clean endfaces with appropriate fibre cleaning tools before connection. Route the cable to prevent sharp bends and maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius; secure excess length with suitable cable management accessories to prevent strain on connectors.

Recommendations

Use this 1 m OS2 SC-to-SC cable for single-mode patching where minimal slack is desired. For best performance, keep connector endfaces clean and avoid tight bends; store unused cables in a dust-free environment and verify optical transceiver compatibility with SC connectors and OS2 single-mode fibre.
