EBC 06/G ασημί, Kathrein, Kathrein EBC 06/G

The Kathrein EBC 06/G Silver is a six‑way broadband distributor designed for 75 Ω systems, covering a frequency range of 5–1218 MHz. It uses F‑type connectors, includes isolating capacitors on inputs and outputs, and meets screening class A according to CENELEC EN 50083-2. The compact metal housing measures 122 mm x 44 mm x 36 mm and is intended for splitting and distributing cable or antenna signals with a nominal 10 dB output attenuation.

Advantages

The EBC 06/G offers reliable signal distribution with a fixed 10 dB attenuation across all six outputs and broad frequency coverage suitable for TV and radio services. Built-in isolating capacitors on both inputs and outputs protect against DC and reduce interference, while screening class A construction ensures high electromagnetic compatibility. Its F connectors provide a common, easy-to-install interface for coaxial cable systems.

How to use

Install the EBC 06/G in a dry, ventilated location near the incoming coaxial feed. Connect the main feed to the input F connector and attach coaxial cables to the six output F connectors leading to receivers or distribution points. Ensure all connections are hand-tightened and, if necessary, use a torque wrench to the manufacturer’s recommended torque to avoid damage. Observe polarity and grounding requirements of the overall installation and keep cable lengths as short as practical to minimise additional loss.

Recommendations

For best performance, use the EBC 06/G in 75 Ω systems with properly shielded coaxial cable and maintain good grounding of the antenna or cable system. Avoid placing the distributor in areas with excessive moisture or heat. If additional gain is required, place a compatible amplifier before the splitter, taking care not to exceed the device’s specified input levels.
