Duplex-Jumper SC-SC 50/125µ OM5 EFB Elektronik

The EFB Elektronik Duplex Jumper SC-SC 50/125µ OM5 is a 15 m fiber optic patch cord with SC connectors on both ends, designed for full-duplex data transmission. Built with 50/125 µm OM5 multimode fiber, this duplex jumper conforms to structured cabling standards and serves as the short connection between active equipment ports and passive interfaces in network installations.

Advantages

This duplex jumper offers standardized performance for structured cabling systems, using OM5 multimode fiber to support higher bandwidth and enhanced modal performance compared with earlier multimode grades. SC-SC terminations provide reliable, push-pull style connections that are widely compatible with equipment using SC ports. The 15 m length provides flexibility for rack-to-rack and equipment-to-panel connections while keeping signal integrity within a short link segment.

Suitable for

• Data center horizontal and inter-rack connections
• Server-to-switch or switch-to-switch connections with SC interfaces
• Multimode network links requiring OM5 fiber for enhanced bandwidth
• Structured cabling installations following ISO/IEC 11801

How to use

Inspect connector endfaces for contamination before installation and clean if necessary. Plug the SC connectors into the corresponding SC ports on patch panels or equipment until the connectors click into place. Route the duplex jumper to avoid sharp bends (observe manufacturer minimum bend radius) and secure it with appropriate cable management to prevent strain. For removal, depress the SC latch and gently withdraw the connector.

Recommendations

Use this OM5 SC-SC duplex jumper for short interconnects within racks and between adjacent equipment. Ensure connectors are kept clean and use fiber caps when not connected. Match OM5 fiber when connecting to existing multimode links to maintain expected performance and verify link class per ISO/IEC 11801 requirements.
