DIGITUS Καλώδιο Patch – CAT6 – S/FTP – Snagless – Cu – 50 cm – πορτοκαλί

The Digitus CAT 6 S/FTP patch cord (DK-1644-005/OR) is a 0.5 m network cable designed for reliable high-speed Ethernet connections. It features S/FTP shielding, copper conductors and RJ-45 connectors on both ends. The orange LSZH sheath and transparent red-coloured, metal-shielded plugs enable easy identification of Category 6 cables while offering improved fire behaviour and low smoke emissions.

Advantages

Manufactured and tested to ISO/IEC 11801 and DIN EN 50173 Category 6 specifications, this Digitus patch cord ensures compliance with ISO & EN channel requirements and delivers Category 6 performance up to 250 MHz. The plug design includes bend and latch protection to reduce strain, prevent snagging and protect the latching lever from breaking. The cable is PoE+ ready for power-over-Ethernet applications.

Suitable for

• Short patching runs in data cabinets and patch panels
• High-speed Ethernet connections (Cat6, up to 250 MHz)
• PoE and PoE+ powered devices
• Installations requiring low-smoke, low-halogen cabling (LSZH)

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 plug to the network device (switch, router or patch panel) and the other to the target device or panel. Avoid tight bends and excessive pulling force; use the integrated bend protection and secure the cable in the rack or channel to prevent strain. For best performance, keep the patch cord length appropriate for the planned channel and avoid running parallel to mains power lines.

Recommendations

Use this 0.5 m Digitus CAT 6 S/FTP patch cord for short interconnections within racks and patch panels where Cat6 performance, PoE+ support and LSZH safety properties are required. Regularly inspect plugs for damage and replace if the latch or shielding is compromised.
