Εφεδρικό τροφοδοτικό D-Link 589W

The D-Link DPS-700 is a redundant external power supply designed to match the wattage needs of D-Link Ethernet and Gigabit switches. Housed in a robust metal enclosure, it connects to an AC power source and links to a switch’s internal power input to provide backup power and sustain switch operation in the event of an internal power-supply failure. The DPS-700 supports full output power for the connected switch and increases power availability for the device.

Advantages

The DPS-700 continuously monitors the switch’s internal power supply via an integrated detection circuit and instantly takes over when a power interruption is detected, preventing switch shutdown and protecting connected devices and network availability. The unit is designed for rack-mount deployment (19-inch standard) to support flexible installations and improved power management. It supports cascading with a device’s internal power supply to provide an additional power budget and offers 1+1 power capability.

Suitable for

• Rack-mounted Ethernet and Gigabit switches requiring redundant power
• Networks that need uninterrupted PoE support for connected devices
• Environments where increased power availability and fault tolerance are required

Key specifications

• Model: D-Link DPS-700
• Total power output: 589 W
• Input voltage: 90–264 V AC
• Input frequency: 50–60 Hz
• MTBF: 624,961 hours
• Form factor: 19-inch rack mount
• Dimensions (W×D×H): 441 × 199 × 44 mm

How to use

Install the DPS-700 into a standard 19-inch equipment rack and connect the AC power cable to a suitable AC supply (90–264 V, 50–60 Hz). Connect the DPS-700 to the switch’s redundant power input according to the switch manufacturer’s instructions. The device’s integrated detection circuit will monitor the switch’s internal power supply and automatically supply power if the internal supply fails. No configuration changes on the switch are required for basic redundant power operation.

Recommendations

Place the DPS-700 in a ventilated rack location, ensure secure AC and switch connections, and verify compatibility with the target switch model. For PoE applications, confirm the combined power budget (internal supply plus DPS-700) meets the total PoE load of connected devices.
