CBO SFP28-25G-SR 25G SR μονάδα οπτικής ίνας

The Transceiver CBO SFP28-25G-SR 25G SR fiber optic module is a compact, hot-pluggable SFP28 transceiver designed for short-reach 25 Gigabit Ethernet links over multimode fiber. It provides a standard pluggable interface for switches, routers and network interface cards, enabling high-bandwidth, low-latency connections in rack and data center environments. The module is intended for short-distance multimode fiber runs and supports typical use cases such as server uplinks, switch-to-switch links and top-of-rack aggregation.

Advantages

This SFP28 25G SR module offers a small form factor and compatibility with SFP28 ports, enabling straightforward installation and replacement without system reconfiguration. The short-reach design reduces cost for intra-rack and intra-data-center connections while delivering 25 Gbps aggregate bandwidth. Its multimode operation simplifies cabling using OM3/OM4 optical fiber and helps maintain low latency and reliable signal integrity for high-performance networking equipment.

Suitable for

• Data center uplinks and top-of-rack aggregation
• Server to switch high-speed connections
• Switch-to-switch links within the same facility or rack
• Short-reach multimode fiber installations (intra-building)

Key specifications

• Data rate: 25 Gbps
• Form factor: SFP28 (compact pluggable)
• Reach: short reach over multimode fiber (typical intra-rack/intra-data-center distances)
• Fiber type: multimode fiber (OM3/OM4 compatible)
• Connector type: duplex LC
• Interface: 25 Gigabit Ethernet
• Operating mode: full-duplex optical link

How to use

Install the module into a compatible SFP28 port on a switch, router or network adapter while the host device is powered according to the equipment manufacturer's guidance. Connect a duplex multimode LC patch cable between transceivers at each link endpoint, ensuring proper fiber polarity. Verify link status on the host device and check negotiated speed to confirm 25 Gbps operation. Remove the module by first powering down or following hot-swap procedures recommended by the system vendor if required.

Recommendations

Use OM3 or OM4 multimode fiber for optimal reach and performance, and keep patch cords and connectors clean to preserve signal quality. Match transceiver types and link speeds on both endpoints and confirm compatibility with the networking equipment vendor's supported transceivers to avoid interoperability issues.
