BlueOptics CBL-MPO12-4LC-SMF-3M-BO Καλώδιο Οπτικής Ίνας InfiniBand 3m MPO 4x LC

The BlueOptics CBL-MPO12-4LC-SMF-3M-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable is a 3-metre multimode link designed for high-density network and data centre environments. Featuring an MPO connector on one end and four LC connectors on the other, this cable supports full-duplex transmission and is built with G.657.A1 singlemode fibre for low-loss, reliable signal propagation over short to medium distances. The compact MPO to 4x LC configuration simplifies trunk-to-patch connectivity, reduces cable clutter and supports high-bandwidth interconnects used in InfiniBand systems.

Advantages

This fibre cable offers low attenuation and consistent performance thanks to the G.657.A1 singlemode fibre specification, which provides improved bending tolerance compared with standard singlemode types. The MPO connector enables high-density parallel connections while the 4x LC termini allow direct patching into transceivers and patch panels. The 3 m length is suitable for rack-to-rack or shelf-to-shelf connections, delivering predictable latency and stable throughput for critical networking tasks.

Suitable for

• InfiniBand links between switches, adapters and servers
• High-density trunking in data centre patch panels
• Short to medium reach singlemode connections within racks and cabinets
• Migration paths from MPO trunks to LC-based transceivers

Key specifications

• Connector configuration: MPO (female) to 4 × LC (female)
• Fibre type: G.657.A1 singlemode
• Length: 3 metres
• Transmission: full-duplex, parallel MPO to individual LC channels
• Application: InfiniBand and high-density optical interconnects

How to use

Install the MPO end into the matching MPO trunk or cassette, ensuring correct alignment and that all pins are intact. Connect the four LC connectors to the corresponding LC sockets on transceivers or patch panels, observing polarity and channel mapping required by your InfiniBand equipment. Avoid sharp bends near the connectors and secure the cable along rack pathways to prevent strain. Verify link status and signal levels through the connected devices after installation.

Recommendations

Handle connectors by the housing, keep endfaces clean and protected with dust caps when not in use, and use appropriate cleaning tools before mating. For installations in high-density environments, route cables to minimise bend radius and use cable management accessories to maintain performance. Regularly inspect and test links after deployment to ensure optical loss remains within expected limits.
