BlueOptics CBL-MPO12-4LC-SMF-5M-BO Καλώδιο οπτικών ινών InfiniBand MPO 4x LC 5m

The BlueOptics CBL-MPO12-4LC-SMF-5M-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable is a 5-meter single-mode patch cable with an MPO connector on one end and four LC duplex connectors on the other. Using G.657.A1 single-mode fibre and laser-optimized construction, the cable is designed for high-performance optical links between patch panels, transceivers and switch ports in data centres and telecommunication racks. The jacket uses LSZH material for reduced smoke and no halogen release in case of fire, and each cable is tested for input loss and return loss to ensure consistent transmission quality.

Advantages

This MPO to 4x LC cable supports low attenuation and high return loss values typical for laser-optimized G.657.A1 single-mode fibre, making it suitable for critical optical links. Manufactured with branded fibres and precision ceramic ferrules, the product is designed for stable, repeatable connections and a long mating life. The LSZH sheath improves safety in enclosed spaces by minimizing smoke and halogen emissions, while factory interferometer and OTDR testing provide documented performance results.

Suitable for

• Spine-to-leaf and switch-to-panel connections in data centres
• Connecting MPO-capable transceivers to LC ports on switches or patch panels
• InfiniBand networking and high-speed optical interconnects
• Environments requiring low-smoke, zero-halogen cabling such as server rooms and telecom closets

Key specifications

• Length: 5 meters
• Fibre type: Single-mode G.657.A1 (laser-optimized)
• Connector A: MPO (multi-fibre optical connector)
• Connector B: 4 × LC duplex (UPC)
• Jacket material: LSZH (low smoke zero halogen)
• Tested parameters: Input loss and return loss, OTDR verification
• Applicable standards: Telcordia GR-326-Core requirements and common IEC/EN norms for optical cables

How to use

Install the cable by aligning and seating the MPO connector into the MPO adapter or port, then connect the four LC duplex connectors to the corresponding LC ports on the patch panel or transceiver. Ensure connectors and adapter ports are clean before mating to avoid contamination-related loss. Route the cable with appropriate bend radius control for single-mode G.657.A1 fibre and secure it in cable management trays to avoid strain on connectors. When removing, unlock the connector latches and withdraw straight to prevent damage to ferrules.

Recommendations

Store and handle the cable in a clean environment, inspect and clean connector endfaces with approved fibre cleaning tools before each connection, and avoid sharp bends or excessive tension. Use the cable within recommended temperature and bend-radius limits, and retain the factory test report for traceability of attenuation and return loss values.
