The BlueOptics MTP-4LC-S7.5M-BO 4x LC InfiniBand 7.5 m Green is a fibre optic assembly designed for high-density, high-speed networking environments. One end terminates with a compact MTP multi-fibre connector while the other end splits into four LC connectors. The 7.5 m cable length provides flexible routing in racks and between equipment, and the 9 µm core diameter is suitable for single-mode transmission with low attenuation and consistent signal integrity for InfiniBand and other high-bandwidth links.

Advantages

This cable combines the space-saving benefits of an MTP backbone connector with the universality of LC terminations, enabling efficient port breakout without additional patching hardware. The 7.5 m length reduces the need for intermediate patch panels in many installations, and the green jacket provides clear visual identification for quick maintenance. The single-mode 9 µm core ensures reduced signal loss over distance and compatibility with standard single-mode transceivers and switches.

How to use

Route the cable between the source MTP trunk and the destination equipment, ensuring bend radius recommendations for single-mode fibre are respected. Plug the MTP connector into the intended multi-fibre cassette or trunk port, and insert each LC connector into the corresponding LC receptacles on transceivers or switches. Verify polarity and connector alignment according to your network design, and perform optical testing after installation to confirm loss and continuity.

Recommendations

Handle connectors with dust caps when not in use and clean endfaces before mating. Avoid sharp bends and excessive tension; maintain the manufacturer's minimum bend radius. For critical links, validate insertion loss with an optical power meter or certified test equipment after installation.
