Zebra DS8178 Φορητός αναγνώστης barcode 1D/2D Φωτοδίοδος Μαύρο

The Zebra DS8178 handheld bar code reader offers high-performance 1D and 2D scanning in a compact, ergonomic design. Built on the DS8100 Series platform, it combines a powerful processor, a high-resolution sensor and advanced decoding algorithms to capture challenging barcodes — including dense, poorly printed, creased, faded, distorted or damaged symbols and electronic barcodes displayed on smartphone screens. The DS8178 supports both wired and wireless connectivity and is suitable for retail checkout, inventory and other point-of-sale or back-office scanning tasks.

Advantages

The DS8178 delivers rapid and reliable capture of virtually every barcode type thanks to an 800 MHz-class processor, a high-resolution megapixel sensor and Zebra’s PRZM decoding technology. It can read problematic barcodes and smartphone-displayed barcodes even when screens are dim. The scanner also supports advanced features such as simultaneous capture of multiple barcodes, full-page capture and Digimarc barcode support. Complementary management tools provide remote visibility into scanning and battery metrics, allow configuration from mobile devices and enable centralized staging and firmware updates across locations.

Suitable for

• Retail checkout and point-of-sale scanning
• Inventory management and stock-taking
• Back-office document capture (full-page capture of receipts or forms)
• Mobile device barcode capture (smartphone-presented barcodes)

Aim the scanner at the barcode and press the trigger; the device will decode 1D and 2D barcodes, including multiple codes on a single document when configured. For full-page capture, position the document within the imager field and press the trigger to capture the required data. Use the included management tools to create configuration barcodes if you need to change settings or to stage devices in bulk.

Recommendations

The DS8178 performs best when the barcode is held within the recommended working distance and when lenses and the environment are kept free of heavy dust or moisture. For optimum battery life and uptime, monitor battery metrics remotely and apply firmware updates centrally using Zebra’s staging and management utilities.
