Wireless Access Point RUIJIE RG-RAP72PRO-OD — dualband 2,4/5 GHz, 5011 Mb/s, PoE, λευκό

The Ruijie Networks RG-RAP72PRO-OD is a versatile Wi‑Fi 7 outdoor/indoor wireless access point designed for business environments. It supports dual-band operation (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) with a combined maximum data transfer rate of 5011 Mbit/s, integrated antennas, IP65 weatherproofing and Power over Ethernet (PoE) for flexible installation on walls or poles. Security is provided through WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK and WPA3-SAE standards, and the unit is compatible with common wired Ethernet speeds.

Advantages

The RG-RAP72PRO-OD offers high throughput across both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, durable weatherproof construction for outdoor use, and built‑in antennas for immediate coverage without external antenna mounting. PoE support simplifies cabling and placement options, while support for modern security protocols helps protect wireless connections. The access point also integrates with mesh and roaming features suitable for managed retail networks.

Suitable for

• Outdoor and indoor coverage for retail locations
• Small to medium business Wi‑Fi mesh deployments
• Areas requiring PoE installation and flexible mounting

When it may not be suitable

This access point is focused on business and retail deployments and may be more capable and feature-rich than necessary for simple home use. For installations that require external high-gain antennas or extremely specialized RF tuning, a model with external antenna connectors might be more appropriate.

How to use

Mount the access point on a wall or pole in a location with clear line-of-sight to the coverage area and connect it to a PoE-capable switch or injector. Configure wireless settings, security (WPA/WPA2/WPA3) and network parameters through the management interface or cloud/mesh controller. Place additional compatible units to create a mesh network and enable AI roaming if available for seamless client handover.

What to consider before purchase

• Intended installation location (outdoor vs indoor) and required IP65 protection
• Need for PoE power sourcing and compatible switches or injectors
• Coverage area and whether built-in antennas meet range requirements
• Compatibility with existing network management or mesh solutions

Recommendations

For best performance, install the RG-RAP72PRO-OD at elevated positions with minimal obstructions, ensure PoE power delivery meets the device requirements, and use the vendor’s mesh/management tools to optimise roaming and channel selection.
