WatchGuard AP130 - Access point - 1GbE - Wi-Fi 6

The WatchGuard AP130 stands apart from typical entry-level access points by pairing true Wi-Fi 6 efficiency with WatchGuard’s cloud-native security ecosystem. It delivers up to 1.77 Gbps aggregate throughput across dual bands, ensuring smooth video conferencing, VoIP, and dense client environments without the cost or complexity of controller-based solutions. Ideal for small offices, retail, and remote branches, the AP130 brings enterprise-grade features like WPA3, WIPS, and rogue AP detection into a compact, mountable form factor.

Highlights

• Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) with OFDMA, MU-MIMO, and Target Wake Time for efficient multi-device performance
• Dual-band 2x2:2 MIMO: up to 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 1201 Mbps on 5 GHz
• Single Gigabit Ethernet port with 802.3at PoE+ support for simplified installation
• Cloud-managed via WatchGuard Cloud – zero-touch provisioning, monitoring, and policy enforcement
• Advanced security: WPA3 encryption, Wireless Intrusion Prevention System (WIPS), and MAC filtering
• Internal omnidirectional antennas optimized for indoor coverage (3.9 dBi / 4.7 dBi gain)
• Supports up to 100+ concurrent clients, making it suitable for moderate-density environments

In daily use

Deploy the AP130 on a wall or ceiling using the included mounting kit, connect it to a PoE+ switch, and let WatchGuard Cloud handle the rest. The access point automatically optimizes channel selection and transmit power, while OFDMA and MU-MIMO ensure that multiple devices—laptops, phones, IoT sensors—receive consistent bandwidth. TWT helps preserve battery life for connected mobile devices. For IT administrators, real-time visibility into RF health, client connectivity, and security events is available from a single dashboard, reducing troubleshooting time.
