Βίδα Fischer 670470 260 mm 25 τεμ.

Fischer 670470 260 mm screws are metal wood screws designed for secure fastening in timber and wooden constructions. Each screw measures 260 mm in length with a nominal diameter of 6 mm and a thread length of approximately 70 mm. Supplied in a pack of 25, these screws are intended for applications requiring deep penetration and strong hold in solid wood, laminated timber and similar building materials.

Advantages

These screws combine a long shank and coarse thread to deliver reliable pull-out resistance and good load distribution along the threaded section. The metal construction provides mechanical strength and dimensional stability during installation. The specified thread length allows effective clamping of materials while the unthreaded shank portion (where present) reduces splitting in cross-grain connections. Supplied in a convenient pack of 25, they are suitable for small to medium-sized projects and reduce the need for frequent reordering.

Suitable for

• Fixing structural timber elements and beams
• Joining thick wooden boards and planks
• Outdoor carpentry where long fasteners are required
• Furniture frames and heavy-duty wooden constructions

Key specifications

• Length: 260 mm
• Nominal diameter: 6 mm
• Thread length: 70 mm (approx.)
• Material: metal (steel)
• Pack quantity: 25 pieces

How to use

Pre-drill a pilot hole appropriate to the screw diameter and the type of wood to prevent splitting, especially near edges or in hardwoods. Use a compatible screwdriver or drill with the correct bit to drive the screw, applying steady torque until the head is flush with or slightly below the surface as required. For structural connections, ensure correct alignment and clamp pieces together before insertion. Check that the working speed and torque settings on power tools are suitable for the screw length to avoid overheating or damaging the fastener.

Recommendations

For best results, select a pilot hole diameter based on the wood species and use corrosion-resistant coatings or additional protection if screws are used in exposed outdoor environments. For critical load-bearing applications, follow applicable building standards and combine with appropriate washers or connectors where specified.
