UBIQUITI NETWORKS Κεραία τομέα 5GHz 16dBi 120°

The Ubiquiti AM-5G16-120 sector antenna is a Carrier Class 2x2 dual-polarity MIMO antenna for the 5 GHz band with 16 dBi gain and a horizontal beamwidth of 137°. Designed to pair with RocketM radios (sold separately), it forms a high-capacity outdoor base station that improves coverage and link stability. The antenna has a low VSWR of 1.5:1 and compact dimensions (367 × 63 × 41 mm), making it suitable for a variety of outdoor wireless deployments.

Advantages

The AM-5G16-120 uses dual polarization and 2x2 MIMO to improve throughput and signal reliability. Its design supports Ubiquiti’s airMAX TDMA protocol, which reduces collisions and improves latency and scalability compared with standard Wi‑Fi systems. The antenna’s 16 dBi gain and 137° horizontal beam make it effective for covering sector areas, while a low VSWR helps minimize signal loss. The compact, weather‑ready form factor simplifies installation on towers or masts.

Suitable for

• Outdoor sector coverage for wireless ISPs
• Base station deployments paired with RocketM radios
• High-capacity links and point-to-multipoint networks

Key specifications

• Frequency band: 5 GHz
• Antenna gain (max): 16 dBi
• Horizontal beamwidth: 137°
• Polarization: Dual (2x2 MIMO)
• VSWR: 1.5:1
• Dimensions (W × D × H): 367 × 63 × 41 mm
• Weight: 1.1 kg

How to use

Mount the sector antenna on a suitable mast or tower and align it to cover the intended sector. Install a compatible RocketM radio (sold separately) close to the antenna feed; connect the radio using the appropriate coaxial or RF connectors and secure all weatherproofing. Configure the radio to use the airMAX protocol and set channels, power, and QoS parameters according to network requirements. Perform a link test and fine‑tune alignment for best performance.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use the AM-5G16-120 with a RocketM radio that supports airMAX TDMA, maintain clear line-of-sight to client devices, and follow local regulations for transmit power and channel use.
