Σύνδεσμος Twist-On ShiverPeaks τύπος 85180-1 για καλώδια έως 7 mm

ShiverPeaks Twist-On Connector model 85180-1 is a compact, tool-free termination solution for signal and low-voltage wiring. Designed for quick assembly, it accepts cables with up to 7 mm outer diameter and produces a reliable mechanical and electrical connection by means of a twist-on action. The connector is intended for field installations, repairs and temporary joins where fast, repeatable connections are needed without soldering or crimping.

Advantages

The twist-on design enables tool-free installation and rapid reuse in the field. Its compact body supports cables up to 7 mm outer diameter, delivering a stable mechanical grip and consistent electrical contact for signal and low-voltage applications. The design reduces installation time, minimizes the need for specialized tools and allows straightforward disassembly when rework or testing is required.

Suitable for

• Field installations and on-site repairs of signal and low-voltage circuits
• Temporary joins and testing setups where fast assembly and disassembly are necessary
• Hobby and prototyping projects using coaxial or multi-core cables within the specified diameter
• Situations requiring a mechanical, non-soldered connection for short-term use

Key specifications

• Cable outer diameter: up to 7 mm
• Connection method: twist-on mechanical termination
• Application: signal and low-voltage wiring
• Installation: tool-free assembly and disassembly
• Typical use: field work, repairs, temporary joins

How to use

Prepare the cable by stripping the outer insulation to expose the conductor as required for the connector type. Insert the prepared cable into the connector body until it seats fully, then rotate the connector onto the conductor with a firm twist until resistance indicates a secure mechanical engagement. Verify continuity or signal integrity after assembly. To remove, twist in the opposite direction while pulling the cable gently to disengage the connector.

Recommendations

Ensure the cable outer diameter does not exceed 7 mm and use the connector only for compatible signal or low-voltage applications. Inspect connections after installation to confirm secure contact and avoid exposure to environments or voltages outside the connector's intended range. For permanent or high-reliability installations, consider a soldered or crimped termination appropriate to the application.
