The ShiverPeaks BS07-60063 SC/SC Female/Female fibre optic connector is designed for bulkhead installations where reliable, low-loss optical connections are required. This single-pack connector provides a standard SC interface on both ends in a female/female configuration, allowing straightforward mating with SC simplex or duplex adapters and patch panels. It is intended for use in optical networks to maintain signal integrity across panel-to-cable or panel-to-panel junctions.

Advantages

This SC/SC female-to-female connector offers consistent mechanical alignment and optical contact for common multimode and singlemode systems compatible with SC interfaces. Its bulkhead-ready form factor simplifies mounting in panels and enclosures, reducing installation time. The connector is supplied as a single unit per pack, which is convenient for spare parts, targeted repairs, or small-scale deployments.

Suitable for

• Bulkhead and patch panel terminations in data centres and telecom racks
• Connecting SC simplex or duplex adapters and couplers
• Field or workshop use for repairs and short extension links
• Optical laboratory test setups and temporary link configurations

Key specifications

• Connector type: SC female to SC female (bulkhead-style)
• Pack quantity: 1 connector
• Mounting: panel/bulkhead compatible
• Interface: standard SC ferrule alignment
• Compatibility: fits standard SC adapters and patch panels

How to use

Install the connector into a compatible bulkhead cutout or adapter opening by aligning the connector body with the panel aperture and securing it according to the panel or adapter design. Once mounted, mate SC male or adapter-coupled SC connectors to each side of the bulkhead connector until they click into place to ensure firm mechanical engagement and optical contact. When performing installations or maintenance, handle fibre ends and ferrules carefully to avoid contamination; use appropriate cleaning tools and inspection methods before making connections.

Recommendations

For best performance, clean ferrule endfaces before mating, avoid bending optical fibres beyond recommended bend radii, and use dust caps when ports are not in use. Verify link quality with suitable optical test equipment after installation.
