Σημείο πρόσβασης Trendnet TEW-821DAP v1.0R 2,4 GHz 5 GHz Wi-Fi

The TRENDnet TEW-821DAP v1.0R is an AC1200 dual-band wireless PoE access point providing concurrent 5 GHz (WiFi AC up to 867 Mbps) and 2.4 GHz (WiFi N up to 300 Mbps) networks. Designed for flexible deployment, it supports multiple operating modes and includes a Windows-based software controller for centralized management. The unit features a Gigabit PoE LAN port, two internal antennas with MIMO technology, compact off-white housing and a mounting plate for easy installation.

Advantages

The TEW-821DAP offers simultaneous dual-band performance (AC1200) with up to 1000 Mbit/s combined throughput, Gigabit Ethernet and Power over Ethernet support to simplify remote installations, and software-based centralized management to reduce configuration and troubleshooting time. It includes features for traffic shaping, band steering, multiple SSIDs, WPA2 encryption, and targeted beamforming to enhance wireless coverage and performance.

Suitable for

• Small and medium business wireless networks
• Office areas requiring centralized WiFi management
• Public spaces or venues needing multiple SSIDs and captive portal support
• Locations where PoE simplifies installation (wall or ceiling mounting)

Key specifications

• Model: TEW-821DAP v1.0R
• Wireless bands: 2.4 GHz (300 Mbps, 802.11n), 5 GHz (867 Mbps, 802.11ac)
• Combined rating: AC1200 (867 + 300 Mbps)
• Ethernet: 1 × Gigabit LAN (RJ-45), PoE support (802.3af)
• Security: WEP, WPA, WPA2-PSK, WPA2-RADIUS
• Management: Windows-based Software Controller (included)
• Antennas: 2, MIMO technology
• Multiple SSIDs: up to 8 per band (16 total)
• Weight: 0.456 kg
• Color: off-white

How to use

Mount the access point to a wall or ceiling using the supplied mounting plate and connect it to a Gigabit PoE switch or injector to provide power and network connectivity through the RJ-45 port. Install the included Windows-based Software Controller on a management PC to discover and configure one or multiple TEW-821DAP units. Configure SSIDs, security (WPA2), VLAN traffic shaping, and band steering as required for your network. For non-PoE environments, use the optional power port if available.

Recommendations

Place the access point centrally relative to the coverage area and avoid physical obstructions. Use PoE to simplify installation in remote locations, enable band steering to balance device load between 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, and configure separate SSIDs or VLANs for guest and corporate traffic to control bandwidth with the traffic shaping features.
