The ShiverPeaks Wire Connector S/CONN 08-01040 provides two RJ-45 ports in a straight inline form factor with a black finish. Designed for establishing reliable Ethernet connections, this single-piece connector is suitable for straightforward patching or direct linking of network cables in home and office environments. It is supplied individually for targeted replacement or small-scale installations where a compact, unobtrusive connector is required.

Advantages

The straight dual RJ-45 configuration enables simple and compact cable joining without the need for additional patch panels or bulky adapters. The black housing offers neutral aesthetics that blend with most networking equipment and cabling. Designed for ease of use, the connector supports quick setup and minimizes cable clutter when used for short links or temporary connections.

Suitable for

• Joining two Ethernet cables for short-distance links
• Temporary network test setups and troubleshooting
• Small office or home network extensions where a compact connector is preferred
• Situations requiring a single spare or replacement connector

Key specifications

• Connector type: two RJ-45 ports in a straight inline form
• Color: black
• Quantity: sold individually (single unit)
• Application: Ethernet cable joining and patching
• Compatibility: standard 8P8C network cables (Cat5e/Cat6 and similar physical RJ-45 terminated cables)

How to use

Insert each RJ-45 terminated cable into the respective port until the latch clicks to secure the connection. Ensure that cable terminations are correctly wired and fully seated to maintain signal integrity. For removal, depress the latch and gently pull the cable straight out to avoid damaging the modular plug. Use the connector for short-length joins or temporary patches rather than long permanent links to ensure optimal performance.

Recommendations

For reliable Ethernet performance, use with properly crimped RJ-45 terminated cables and avoid subjecting the connector to excessive strain or frequent mechanical stress. For permanent installations or where signal quality is critical over longer runs, consider using a dedicated patch panel or a single continuous cable run instead of inline joining.
