The ShiverPeaks Fibre Optic Adapter S/CONN 07-60000 LC/LC Single-mode Blue is a single-mode coupling solution designed for joining two LC-terminated fibre optic cables. This adapter provides a compact interface for precision alignment of LC connectors in patch panels, distribution frames, and in-line assemblies. The single-mode design supports long-distance, low-loss optical links and is supplied as a single unit in blue housing for easy identification.

Advantages

This LC/LC single-mode adapter offers precise ceramic alignment sleeves for stable optical coupling and minimal insertion loss. The compact LC form factor saves space in high-density installations while maintaining reliable physical contact between fibres. The blue color coding aids quick visual identification of single-mode connections and helps organize cabling runs. Supplied as a single piece, it is suitable for both field installations and factory-mounted panels.

Suitable for

• Joining two LC single-mode fibre patch cords
• Installation in fibre patch panels and distribution frames
• Extending or repairing single-mode optical links in telecom and data networks
• Lab test setups and in-line fibre assemblies

Key specifications

• Connector type: LC to LC
• Mode: Single-mode
• Housing color: Blue
• Alignment sleeve material: Ceramic (precision)
• Quantity: Pack of 1 adapter
• Cable interface: Duplex LC footprint

How to use

Align each LC connector with the adapter ports and push until a secure physical connection is felt. Ensure connector endfaces are clean and free of dust before mating to minimize insertion loss and back-reflection. Use appropriate dust caps when the adapter is not in use. For panel mounting, insert the adapter into the designated cutout or adapter flange until it locks into place, following the panel manufacturer’s mounting instructions.

Recommendations

Before installation, inspect and clean connector endfaces with approved fibre cleaning tools. Handle connectors by the boot or body to avoid touching endfaces. For best performance, test optical loss after installation and keep records of measured insertion loss and return loss values.
