Καλώδιο δικτύου S/FTP S/CONN Cat 6 30m

The ShiverPeaks S/FTP Networking Cable S/CONN Cat 6 30m is a shielded Ethernet cable designed for structured cabling in home and office networks. This 30-metre Cat 6 cable uses S/FTP construction (overall shield with individually foil-shielded pairs) to reduce electromagnetic interference and maintain signal integrity over longer runs. Fitted with RJ-45 S/CONN connectors with gold-plated contacts, the cable supports reliable high-speed data transmission and stable physical connections. The cable jacket is blue, providing a clear visual identifier in multi-cable installations.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding provides improved protection against crosstalk and external EMI compared with unshielded alternatives, which helps sustain higher throughput and lower error rates. Cat 6 performance enables gigabit Ethernet and is suitable for common networking applications that require reduced latency and consistent bandwidth. The gold-plated RJ-45 connectors enhance contact reliability and corrosion resistance, and the 30 m length offers flexibility for routing between racks, workstations, switches, and wall outlets.

Suitable for

• Gigabit Ethernet connections in home networks
• Wired office networks, including workstations and switches
• Structured cabling runs where EMI protection is required
• Connecting network devices over distances up to 30 metres

Key specifications

• Category: Cat 6 (suitable for up to 1 Gbps and consistent performance)
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid with individually foil-shielded pairs)
• Connectors: RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Length: 30 metres
• Jacket color: Blue
• Cable use: Horizontal and patch cabling for Ethernet networks

How to use

Route the cable between network endpoints such as switches, routers, patch panels, or wall sockets, avoiding sharp bends and high-EMI sources where possible. Terminate the cable using the supplied RJ-45 S/CONN connectors or compatible panels; ensure connectors are fully seated and clips are engaged to provide secure mechanical and electrical contact. For best performance, maintain recommended bend radius and avoid running the cable parallel to high-voltage power lines. Test the connection with a network tester after installation to verify continuity and performance.

Recommendations

For optimal long-term performance, install the S/FTP cable in conduit or cable trays in commercial environments and use ferrules or strain relief at connector points to prevent mechanical stress. Avoid exposing the cable to excessive heat or direct sunlight, and keep the cable away from large motors or fluorescent lighting fixtures that can generate interference.
