The ShiverPeaks Networking Cable S/CONN Cat7 15m Green is a 15-metre S/FTP (S-STP) Ethernet cable with RJ-45 connectors at both ends, designed for high-speed wired data transmission in home and office networks. Its Cat7 category and shielded pairs provide improved protection against electromagnetic and crosstalk interference compared with lower-category cables, supporting stable connections for bandwidth-demanding applications. The cable's green jacket identifies it visually in multi-cable installations and helps with organised routing.

Advantages

The S/CONN Cat7 15m cable combines Category 7 performance with S/FTP shielding to reduce external electromagnetic interference and near-end crosstalk. The 15-metre length offers flexibility to connect devices across rooms or larger workspaces without signal repeaters. Standard RJ-45 connectors ensure compatibility with common switches, routers, network cards and patch panels. The durable outer jacket and internal shielding maintain signal integrity, enabling reliable data transfer for longer runs compared with unshielded alternatives.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop PCs, network printers and NAS devices to a router or switch in home and small office networks
• Wiring between wall outlets and patch panels in structured cabling installations
• Connecting gaming consoles, smart TVs and media players where stable wired internet is preferred
• Temporary or permanent setups that require reduced interference in environments with multiple electronic devices

Key specifications

• Category: Cat7
• Length: 15 metres
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid with individually shielded twisted pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45 on both ends
• Conductor type: stranded or solid copper conductors suitable for Ethernet cabling (construct varies by production batch)
• Outer jacket colour: green
• Typical supported data rates: up to 10 Gbit/s over appropriate distances (depends on network hardware and environment)

How to use

Plug each RJ-45 connector into the corresponding network port of your devices, such as a router, switch, computer or media player. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to secure the connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and tight kinks; maintain a gentle bend radius near connectors and equipment. For permanent installations, use appropriate cable management accessories and avoid running the cable parallel and close to power lines to reduce potential interference.

Recommendations

For best performance, use the cable for runs within the recommended length and pair it with quality network equipment that supports the desired data rates. When installing in high-interference areas, verify that connectors and patch panels are properly grounded to take full advantage of the S/FTP shielding.
