The ShiverPeaks Networking Cable S/CONN 08-43065 Black 7.5m Cat8.1 U/FTP is a high-performance Ethernet cable designed for demanding wired networks. It supports the Cat8.1 standard and features U/FTP shielding to reduce crosstalk and electromagnetic interference. Both ends are fitted with RJ-45 connectors for compatibility with standard network equipment. The 7.5 meter length provides flexibility for connecting devices across rooms or within rack-mounted installations where a longer reach is needed.

Advantages

This cable offers the bandwidth and signal integrity associated with Cat8.1, enabling higher data rates and lower latency compared with lower-category cables. The U/FTP (unshielded overall with individually shielded twisted pairs) construction improves protection against external interference while maintaining flexible handling. RJ-45 connectors on both ends ensure broad compatibility with switches, routers, servers and other Ethernet devices. The black jacket provides a discreet appearance suitable for visible installations.

Suitable for

• High-speed data transfer between switches, routers and servers
• Point-to-point connections in data centers and server rooms
• Home offices and professional workstations requiring low-latency connections
• Environments where shielding is needed to minimize EMI and crosstalk

Key specifications

• Category: Cat8.1
• Shielding: U/FTP (overall unshielded, individually shielded pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Length: 7.5 m
• Color: Black

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 connector to the network port of your switch, router or server and the other RJ-45 connector to the target device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted and the locking tab engages. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and sources of strong interference; maintain bend radii recommended for Ethernet cables to preserve signal quality. If used in rack environments, secure the cable with appropriate cable management to prevent strain on connectors.

Recommendations

For best performance, use the cable within its specified length and avoid running it parallel to high-voltage power lines. When deploying in mixed-cable installations, separate shielded and unshielded runs where possible. Periodically inspect connectors for debris or damage and replace the cable if shielding or jacket integrity is compromised.
