The ShiverPeaks Networking Cable S/CONN 75720-B Blue 10m Cat6a S/FTP is a 10-meter Ethernet cable designed to support high-speed data transmission in home and office networks. Built to Cat6a specifications with S/FTP shielding, the cable reduces crosstalk and external electromagnetic interference to maintain signal integrity over longer distances. The RJ-45 connectors feature gold-plated contacts for consistent conductivity and improved contact durability, while the blue jacket provides clear visual identification within cable bundles or structured cabling installations.

Advantages

The cable’s Cat6a rating enables 10 Gigabit Ethernet performance where infrastructure supports higher bandwidth, and S/FTP shielding combines an overall foil shield with individually shielded twisted pairs to lower both alien crosstalk and EMI. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts offer reliable electrical contact and resistance to corrosion, contributing to stable connections over repeated insertions. The 10-meter length offers flexibility in device placement without needing extra couplers or extenders.

Suitable for

• 10 Gigabit Ethernet links in small offices and home networks
• Connecting network switches, routers, NAS devices and workstations
• Structured cabling runs where reduced interference is required
• Environments with multiple adjacent cables or sources of EMI

Key specifications

• Cable standard: Category 6a (Cat6a)
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil + individually shielded pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Length: 10 meters
• Color: Blue jacket for easy identification
• Typical use: Ethernet networking up to 10 Gbps depending on network equipment

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the network port of your switch, router or device and the other end into the corresponding device socket. Ensure connectors are fully seated until the latch clicks to secure the connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and excessive mechanical stress; maintain recommended bend radius for twisted pair cables. For installations in high-EMI areas, verify grounding and proper cable management to preserve the effectiveness of the S/FTP shielding.

Recommendations

For best performance, use the cable within its 10-meter length without additional extension, avoid running parallel and close to power cables for long distances, and inspect connectors periodically for contamination or damage. When terminating into patch panels or keystone jacks, follow correct wiring standards and preserve shield continuity where required.
