shiverpeaks BASIC-S καλώδιο δικτύου πράσινο 15 m Cat7 S/FTP (S-STP)

The shiverpeaks BASIC-S networking cable Green 15 m Cat7 S/FTP (S-STP) is a 15-metre Ethernet patch cable designed for wired data connections in home and office environments. It conforms to Category 7 cabling performance and uses S/FTP (S-STP) shielding to minimise electromagnetic interference. Both ends are fitted with RJ-45 male connectors with gold-plated contacts to ensure reliable signal transmission and corrosion resistance. The cable’s green jacket provides an identifiable colour option for organised cabling runs.

Advantages

The S/FTP shielding structure combines an overall foil shield with individually braided shields around each twisted pair, improving resistance to external interference and crosstalk. Cat7 performance supports higher bandwidths and more stable connections compared with lower-category cables. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors provide consistent contact quality and reduce the risk of oxidation. The 15 m length offers flexibility to connect devices across rooms or longer workstations without the need for additional adapters or extenders.

Suitable for

• Connecting routers, switches and networked devices in home networks
• Office workstation cabling and structured cabling runs
• High-bandwidth applications such as HD streaming and large file transfers
• Environments where reduced electromagnetic interference is required

Key specifications

• Cable length: 15 m
• Category: Cat7
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil shield with individually shielded pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45 male to RJ-45 male
• Contact plating: gold-plated contacts
• Colour: Green jacket

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 male connector to your network device such as a router, switch or network interface on a computer, and plug the other RJ-45 connector into the corresponding port on the remote device. Ensure connectors are fully seated until the latch clicks. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and sharp kinks; maintain a gentle bend radius and avoid running parallel to high-voltage power lines to preserve signal integrity. For permanent installations, secure the cable with appropriate clips or cable management accessories without compressing the jacket.

Recommendations

Use the cable for short- to medium-length fixed connections up to 15 m where Cat7 performance and S/FTP shielding are beneficial. Avoid exposing the cable to excessive heat, prolonged UV exposure, or mechanical strain. If used in mixed-category installations, expect performance to fall back to the lowest category present in the chain.
