Αλλαγέας φύλου RJ45 S/CONN 71231-8/4

The ShiverPeaks Cable gender changer RJ45 S/CONN 71231-8/4 is a compact inline adapter designed to join two RJ45 network cables. Measuring approximately 0.2 m overall, this black adapter contains two RJ45 female connectors with gold-plated contacts to maintain reliable signal transmission and resist corrosion. Its compact form factor makes it suitable for tight spaces and temporary extensions where a single continuous cable is needed.

Advantages

This RJ45 gender changer provides a simple mechanical solution for joining Ethernet cables without re-terminating connectors. Gold-plated contacts improve electrical conductivity and reduce signal loss over the connection point. The small, robust housing minimizes strain on connected cables and fits easily into crowded patch panels, wall outlets, or behind equipment where space is limited.

Suitable for

• Extending existing Ethernet cables in home or office networks
• Connecting patch cables in server rooms or network cabinets
• Temporary network joins during installation or testing
• Situations where replacing or re-terminating cables is impractical

Key specifications

• Connector type: 2 × RJ45 female
• Cable/adapter length: 0.2 m (approx.)
• Contact plating: gold-plated contacts for improved conductivity
• Color: black
• Intended signal type: Ethernet/structured cabling

How to use

Insert each RJ45 plug of the cables you wish to join into the adapter’s RJ45 female sockets until they click into place. Ensure the locking tabs are fully engaged to maintain a secure connection. Avoid excessive bending or pulling at the junction point; position the adapter so it is not under mechanical stress. For best performance, use cables and network equipment that meet the same category rating as your network (e.g., Cat5e, Cat6) to avoid limiting throughput.

Recommendations

Use the adapter for short-term or space-constrained applications where creating a continuous cable by crimping is not feasible. Inspect the contacts periodically and replace the adapter if network issues such as intermittent connectivity or increased error rates appear.
