The Pull Rod Set c.k tools MightyRod PRO 5m — 5 rods, model T5420 is a modular cable-pulling system designed for professional electricians and installers. Five connectable rods form a continuous reach of up to 5 metres, enabling controlled guidance of cables, small-diameter pipes or draw tapes through walls, ceilings and other confined spaces. The set is lightweight and portable for on-site installations and provides accurate directional control when routing services in renovation, new build or retrofit projects.

Advantages

The MightyRod PRO set offers modular extension and positive rod-to-rod connection for secure use in tight spaces without excessive bending. Its balanced weight and hand-friendly grips reduce user fatigue during repeated operations, while the rigid rod construction transfers push force effectively to reach through insulation, service voids and partitions. The design supports controlled steering and reduces the need for destructive opening of structures.

How to use

Assemble the rods by connecting each section until the desired length is reached, ensuring each joint is fully engaged. Insert the assembled rod into the access point and advance gently while maintaining alignment to steer the tip through the void. When the tip reaches the target area, attach a draw tape, cable or small conduit to the end and withdraw the rod to pull the service back through the route. For reversing direction or negotiating tight bends, retract and reinsert as needed to reposition the rod tip.

Recommendations

Use personal protective equipment appropriate to the worksite. Avoid excessive side-loading or sharp bends that could overstress rod joints. For obstructed runs, proceed slowly and consider introducing lubricant or an alternative guiding tool if progress becomes difficult. Store rods dry and clean after use to maintain reliable connection and push performance.
