Αντιανεμικό φίλτρο RØDE DeadCat GO

The RØDE DeadCat GO is a furry wind cover made for the VideoMic GO to reduce wind noise during outdoor recording. Its artificial fur is engineered to minimise wind interference while remaining acoustically transparent, providing clearer audio capture and protecting the microphone from the elements. The DeadCat GO measures 70 mm width × 180 mm height × 70 mm depth and fits the VideoMic GO in grey finish.

Advantages

The DeadCat GO reduces wind noise effectively without significantly affecting sound quality thanks to its acoustically transparent synthetic fur. It is lightweight and designed to fit the VideoMic GO dimensions, offering physical protection from dust and light precipitation while maintaining microphone sensitivity.

Suitable for

• Outdoor interviews and reportage
• Field recording in breezy or windy conditions
• Vlogging and mobile video shoots using VideoMic GO
• Any outdoor audio capture where wind interference is a concern

How to use

Slide the DeadCat GO over the VideoMic GO so the microphone capsule is aligned with the fur-covered area. Ensure a snug fit so the windshield stays in place during movement. Use the cover whenever recording outdoors in windy conditions to minimise noise; remove and store it when not needed to avoid unnecessary wear.

Recommendations

For best results, check the fit before recording and avoid compressing the fur over the capsule. If the cover becomes wet, allow it to air dry completely before reuse to preserve acoustic properties and longevity.
