Αξεσουάρ μπούμας RØDE BOOMPOLE PRO

The RØDE BOOMPOLE PRO is a professional-grade carbon fibre boom pole that extends to 3000 mm and collapses to 810 mm, offering a lightweight yet rigid support for shotgun microphones and windshields. With an overall weight of approximately 535 g, the pole is designed for location sound and film production where reach, portability and low handling mass are important. It is compatible with RØDE NTG series microphones and accessories such as the SM3, SM4 and the Blimp windshield system.

Advantages

Constructed from carbon fibre, the BOOMPOLE PRO delivers high strength with minimal weight, enabling extended boom operation without excessive fatigue. Its five-section design provides a long 3 m reach while collapsing to a compact 810 mm for transport. The intuitive one-hand twist-lock mechanism allows quick section extension and secure locking. Compatibility with common shock mounts and windshield systems makes it adaptable to a variety of professional setups.

Suitable for

• Location sound recording for film and television
• Field interviews and documentary production
• Outdoor shoots requiring windshields such as the Blimp
• Situations needing a lightweight, portable boom solution

Key specifications

• Material: carbon fibre construction across all sections
• Maximum extended length: 3000 mm
• Collapsed length: 810 mm
• Weight: approximately 535 g
• Section count: five extendable sections with twist-locks
• Microphone compatibility: designed for shotgun microphones and compatible with common shock mounts and windshield systems

How to use

Begin with the pole collapsed and extend each section by unlocking the twist-lock, pulling the section to the required length and re-locking. Mount the shotgun microphone or windshield on the end thread according to the accessory instructions and balance the pole for comfortable holding. When operating on location, maintain a steady grip and position the pole to keep the microphone close to the sound source while avoiding casting shadows or entering the camera frame.

Recommendations

For reduced handling noise, consider using a compatible shock mount and the RØDE Blimp windshield outdoors. The RØDELink wireless XLR adapter is an option to eliminate cable runs along the pole and further minimise handling-related interference. Store the pole collapsed in a protective case to preserve the twist-locks and carbon fibre finish.
