The tool is designed for drilling neat round holes in aerated concrete blocks, masonry, tiles, ceramics, natural stone, lightweight building materials, plasterboard and various plastics.

Advantages

This hole saw combines a precision tube and a tungsten carbide grit cutting edge to deliver clean cuts across hard and brittle materials. Supplied complete with arbor and pilot drill for secure centring during drilling. High-temperature brazing enhances the bond between grit and body, improving wear resistance and tool life. The 6.8 cm diameter offers a common size for installing fixtures such as switches, sockets and pipe penetrations.

How to use

Mount the arbor and tighten the pilot drill according to the arbor manufacturer's instructions. Secure the workpiece and mark the hole centre. Start drilling at low speed to ensure the pilot drill locates correctly, then increase speed and apply steady, moderate pressure. For tiles and ceramics, use water as coolant to reduce heat and dust. Withdraw the saw periodically to clear debris and avoid overheating.

Recommendations

Use appropriate personal protective equipment (safety glasses, dust mask and gloves). Match the arbor shank size to your drill chuck. Do not force the tool; let the cutting grit do the work. Replace the hole saw if the grit becomes worn or the tool produces excessive vibration.
