Port-Blocker ShiverPeaks 08-01032 RJ-45 κίτρινο με κλειδί

The ShiverPeaks 08-01032 RJ-45 Yellow with Key is a compact port blocker designed to restrict unauthorized access to Ethernet ports and prevent accidental cable disconnection. Constructed for straightforward installation, the device fits standard RJ-45 sockets and includes a keyed locking mechanism and a removable key for controlled access. Its yellow color provides clear visual identification of secured ports in both home and office network setups.

Advantages

This RJ-45 port blocker offers a simple physical security solution without requiring software or network changes. The keyed lock reduces the risk of tampering and unauthorized plug-in attempts, while the durable plastic body withstands regular handling. The bright yellow finish improves visibility during maintenance and inventory checks and helps quickly identify ports that are intentionally blocked.

Suitable for

• Securing wall plate and patch panel Ethernet ports in offices
• Preventing accidental disconnection of critical devices such as IP phones or networked printers
• Restricting network access in public or shared areas like lobbies, classrooms, or conference rooms
• Temporary port control during maintenance, audits, or migrations

Key specifications

• Connector type: RJ-45 form factor compatible with standard 8P8C Ethernet sockets
• Locking: Removable keyed locking mechanism for controlled access
• Color: Yellow for visual identification
• Material: Robust plastic body designed for repeated insertion and removal
• Compatibility: Fits standard wall jacks, patch panels and keystone modules used for Ethernet cabling

How to use

Insert the port blocker into an empty RJ-45 socket until it seats securely, then turn the key to engage the lock. Keep the key in a secure location to maintain control over access. To remove the blocker, insert the key, turn to unlock and gently withdraw the blocker from the port. Use one blocker per port you wish to secure; do not force the device into non-standard or damaged sockets.

Recommendations

For organized port management, label blocked ports and keep spare keys in a secure but accessible location for authorized personnel. Periodically inspect blocked ports for wear and replace the blocker if the fit becomes loose or the plastic shows signs of damage.
