Portblocker ShiverPeaks 08-01034 RJ-45 μπλε ασφάλεια δικτύου

The ShiverPeaks 08-01034 RJ-45 Blue Network Security port blocker is a compact physical access control device designed to restrict unauthorized use of Ethernet ports. Fitted into a standard RJ-45 socket, the blue blocker prevents insertion of network cables while remaining easily removable by authorized personnel. It is intended for use in offices, server rooms, schools and public spaces where control over network access reduces risk of data breaches and unauthorized connections.

Advantages

This port blocker provides a simple, passive method to increase physical network security without altering cabling or software configurations. Its visible blue color aids identification of blocked ports, while the low-profile design minimizes interference with adjacent connectors. Installation and removal require no tools if a matching extraction key is used, enabling controlled access management. The device is durable for repeated insertions and suitable for long-term use in managed environments.

Suitable for

• Preventing unauthorized network access in office workstations
• Securing spare or public Ethernet jacks in reception areas and meeting rooms
• Protecting network ports in schools, libraries and public institutions
• Restricting access to network equipment in server rooms and wiring closets

Key specifications

• Form factor: RJ-45 port blocker compatible with standard 8P8C Ethernet sockets
• Color: Blue for clear visual identification
• Material: Durable plastic suitable for repeated insertions and removals
• Mounting: Push-fit insertion into RJ-45 jack, removable with matching extraction key
• Function: Physical blocking of Ethernet cable insertion to prevent unauthorized connections

How to use

Insert the port blocker into the RJ-45 socket until it seats flush with the jack face; the push-fit design holds it securely in place. To allow authorized access, use the corresponding extraction key to remove the blocker by gently pulling it out. Track and label blocked ports if you manage multiple outlets to maintain an organized access control process. No electrical changes or network configuration are required.

Recommendations

Use the blocker as part of a broader network security policy that includes logical access controls and physical asset management. Keep extraction keys under controlled access and document which ports are blocked to avoid accidental service disruption. Regularly inspect blockers for wear and replace if damaged.
