The ShiverPeaks Wire Stripping Tool 02-22010 is a compact handheld instrument designed for stripping insulation from insulated conductors with cross-sections of 2.5, 4 and 6 mm². The tool’s red housing and ergonomic shape make it easy to handle during repetitive tasks. It is intended for cleanly removing insulation without nicking or damaging the conductor strands, making it practical for electrical installation, maintenance and repair work in homes, workshops and on-site jobs.

Advantages

The ShiverPeaks 02-22010 provides precise insulation stripping for the three common conductor sizes, combining simplicity with consistent stripping length and minimal conductor damage. Its compact size and one-handed operation support efficient use in confined spaces and on ladders. The tool’s design reduces the need for manual trimming and improves speed when preparing wires for connectors or terminals.

Suitable for

• Residential electrical installation and repair
• Workshop wiring and equipment assembly
• On-site service and maintenance tasks
• Preparing conductors for crimp terminals and screw connections

Key specifications

• Designed conductor cross-sections: 2.5 mm², 4 mm², 6 mm²
• Tool type: handheld wire stripper for insulated conductors
• Operation: one-handed manual stripping
• Housing color: red
• Application scope: insulation removal for electrical installation and repair

How to use

Place the insulated conductor into the appropriate stripping slot for its cross-section, close the tool to engage the blade and pull the tool along the conductor to remove the insulation. Maintain steady pressure and a straight pull to avoid cutting conductor strands. After stripping, inspect the exposed conductor for intact strands and adjust technique if any damage is visible. The tool is intended for insulated single or stranded conductors of the specified sizes; do not use on live circuits or conductors outside the rated cross-sections.

Recommendations

Always disconnect power before working on wiring. Use the correct slot for the conductor size to minimize conductor damage. Clean and store the tool in a dry place to maintain blade condition and consistent stripping performance.
