MPO-4xLC Multimode OM4 Patchkabel BlueOptics 470-ABOI 7,5 μέτρα

The BlueOptics 470-ABOI is a 7.5 meter MPO-4xLC multimode OM4 patch cable designed for high-speed data transmission in professional networking environments. This cable converts a single MPO connector to four LC connectors using OM4 multimode fiber, providing a compact way to link multi-fiber trunks to devices with LC ports. The construction prioritizes signal integrity and consistent performance over short to medium distances in data centers, server rooms and structured cabling installations.

Advantages

This BlueOptics multimode OM4 patch cable offers low insertion loss and improved bandwidth compared with lower-grade multimode fibers, enabling efficient transmission of 10GbE and higher-speed links where multimode optics are used. Its 7.5 m length provides flexibility in rack-to-rack or aisle cabling runs while reducing the need for additional splicing or intermediate patching. The MPO-to-4xLC break-out design simplifies connection to LC-based transceivers and equipment, and the cable's robust jacket and precise connector termination support reliable, repeatable performance in demanding network environments.

How to use

Route the MPO-4xLC patch cable between the MPO trunk or cassette and the destination device with LC ports, ensuring connectors are clean and free of dust before insertion. Align the MPO connector with the trunk receptacle and gently insert until it seats; then connect each LC connector to the corresponding LC port on the transceiver or patch panel. Avoid sharp bends and maintain the minimum bend radius indicated for multimode fiber to prevent increased loss. Secure the cable in routing channels or cable management accessories to prevent strain on connectors.

Recommendations

Before deployment, inspect and clean all fiber endfaces with appropriate fiber cleaning tools. For best performance, use this OM4 multimode patch cable with compatible multimode transceivers and ensure link budgets account for connector and splice losses. Store spare cables in a dry, dust-free environment and avoid stepping on or crushing the cable to maintain long-term reliability.
