Lindy 47196 Καλώδιο δικτύου λευκό 5 m Cat6a S/FTP (S-STP)

The Lindy 47196 White 5m Cat6 S/FTP networking cable is a 5‑metre Ethernet cable designed for reliable Gigabit connectivity in home and office environments. Built to Cat6 standard with S/FTP shielding and gold‑plated RJ‑45 connectors, this cable supports data rates up to 1000 Mbit/s and is suitable for structured cabling, workstation connections, and networked devices where reduced interference and stable throughput are required.

Advantages

S/FTP construction combines an overall foil shield with individually shielded pairs to reduce crosstalk and external electromagnetic interference, providing more consistent signal integrity compared with unshielded alternatives. Gold‑plated RJ‑45 plugs improve contact reliability and resist corrosion, helping to maintain low contact resistance over time. The white jacket offers a discreet appearance that fits residential and professional interiors while the 5 m length provides flexibility for typical desk and equipment layouts.

Suitable for

• Connecting PCs, laptops and workstations to switches or routers
• Wired connections for network printers, NAS and IP cameras
• Structured cabling runs in home offices and small offices
• Gigabit Ethernet applications and multimedia streaming

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil + individually shielded pairs)
• Supported speeds: up to 1000 Mbit/s (Gigabit Ethernet)
• Connectors: RJ‑45 to RJ‑45, gold‑plated contacts
• Length: 5 m
• Colour: White
• Cabling standard: 10/100/1000Base‑T(X)

How to use

Plug one RJ‑45 connector into the network port of your device and the other into a compatible switch, router or wall socket. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks. For best performance, avoid tight bends, kinks or running the cable parallel and close to sources of strong electromagnetic interference such as mains power cables or large transformers. When terminating into patch panels or keystone jacks, follow standard wiring schemes (T568A or T568B) consistently at both ends.

Recommendations

Use this Cat6 S/FTP cable for short to medium runs where Gigabit performance and reduced interference are important. For permanent installations in areas with high EMI or where future 10 Gigabit requirements are expected, consider appropriate higher‑category cabling or installation practices to meet long‑term needs.
