The Kensington CH1000 (model K39124EU) USB-C 4-Port Hub expands a USB-C host with two USB-A and two USB-C downstream ports. It provides USB 3.1 Gen 1 (also referred to as USB 3.2 Gen 1) SuperSpeed data transfer up to 5 Gbps, Plug & Play operation without drivers, and a compact black housing for portability. The hub is compatible with Windows, macOS and ChromeOS but does not support Power Delivery or DisplayPort Alternate Mode.
This USB hub delivers four high-speed USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports to connect peripherals such as keyboards, mice and flash drives while maintaining data transfer rates up to 5 Gbps. The Plug & Play setup requires no drivers, and the compact, lightweight design makes the hub easy to carry with a laptop or in a bag. The mix of two USB-A and two USB-C ports offers flexibility for legacy and newer devices.
Plug the hub into a USB-C host port on your laptop, tablet or smartphone and connect your peripherals to the available USB-A or USB-C downstream ports. The hub uses Plug & Play so connected devices should be recognized automatically by the operating system. For best transfer performance, connect SuperSpeed-capable devices and cables rated for USB 3.1 Gen 1 speeds.
Do not expect the hub to provide laptop charging or external display output — it does not support Power Delivery or DisplayPort Alternate Mode. Use high-quality USB 3.1 Gen 1 cables for reliable 5 Gbps transfers and connect one high-bandwidth device at a time if sustained maximum throughput is required.
