Κάρτα WLAN Ubiquiti XTREME Range 2 54 Mbit/s Mini PCI Express

The Ubiquiti XTREME Range 2 is a Mini PCI Express wireless card that supports IEEE 802.11b/g standards and delivers up to 54 Mbit/s. Designed as a carrier-class 2.4 GHz radio module, it is intended for mesh, bridging and infrastructure networking where dependable performance and compact integration are required. The module continues Ubiquiti's XtremeRange line improvements over the earlier SuperRange series and is suitable for embedding in compatible devices with Mini PCIe slots.

Advantages

The XTREME Range 2 provides a compact Mini PCI Express form factor, compatibility with 2.4 GHz IEEE 802.11b/g networks, and a rated maximum throughput of 54 Mbit/s. Its carrier-class design targets reliable operation in mesh and bridge deployments, offering predictable behaviour for infrastructure applications that need sustained wireless links. The module's small size allows straightforward integration into devices that accept Mini PCIe cards.

Suitable for

• Wireless mesh networks
• Point-to-point or point-to-multipoint bridging
• Embedded wireless in routers, gateways or industrial devices with Mini PCI Express slots
• Legacy 2.4 GHz infrastructure deployments supporting 802.11b/g

How to use

Install the XTREME Range 2 into an available Mini PCI Express slot on a compatible device following the host device manufacturer's instructions. Ensure proper antenna connections and confirm that the device firmware and drivers support the card. Configure wireless settings (SSID, channel, security) through the host device or controller software, and verify link parameters and throughput in the intended deployment mode (mesh, bridge, infrastructure).

Recommendations

For optimal reliability, use the card in devices with proper RF shielding and quality antennas, keep firmware up to date, and select clear 2.4 GHz channels to reduce interference. The module is best suited for deployments that require stable IEEE 802.11b/g connectivity rather than high-throughput modern Wi‑Fi standards.
