Καλώδιο patch ShiverPeaks Cat 6A S/FTP χωρίς αλογόνα 2,0 m (75712-AG)

Shielded network patch cable ShiverPeaks Cat 6A S/FTP, halogen-free, 2.0 m length, designed to support high-speed Ethernet connections up to 10 Gbps. The cable features individually screened pairs and an overall foil with braid shielding to reduce near-end crosstalk (NEXT) and electromagnetic interference (EMI). The halogen-free jacket improves fire-safety characteristics by limiting toxic gas and smoke in case of combustion, making it suitable for installations where reduced emission of corrosive gases is required.

Advantages

The S/FTP design offers enhanced protection against alien crosstalk and external interference by combining pair-level foil shielding with an overall braided and foil wrap, which helps maintain signal integrity at higher frequencies associated with Cat 6A performance. The halogen-free outer sheath provides improved safety in enclosed spaces and reduces the risk of corrosive residues during a fire. With a 2.0 m length and robust connector strain relief, the cable is ready for patch-panel, switch, and workstation connections where predictable 10 Gigabit operation is required.

Suitable for

• 10 Gigabit Ethernet links between switches, patch panels and servers in data centers and wiring closets
• High-performance office networks connecting workstations, VoIP devices and networked printers
• Home networks requiring stable, low-interference wired connections for media streaming and gaming

Key specifications

• Category: Cat 6A (supports 10 Gbps up to standard channel lengths)
• Shielding: S/FTP — individually foil-screened pairs plus overall foil and braid
• Jacket material: halogen-free compound for reduced toxic emissions
• Length: 2.0 m
• Conductor: stranded conductors for patching flexibility
• Color: green
• Connector type: RJ45 compliant with Cat 6A performance (plug ends with strain relief)

How to use

Connect one RJ45 plug to the network port on a switch, router or patch panel and the other plug to the target device such as a server, workstation or access point. Ensure both ports support the intended network speed; the cable will negotiate the highest common speed up to Cat 6A capabilities. Avoid tight bends and kinks near the connector ends to maintain shielding effectiveness and preserve signal quality. Route the cable separately from high-power electrical lines where possible to minimise electromagnetic interference.

Recommendations

For optimal performance in high-density installations, use shielded patch panels and switches with grounded chassis to preserve the S/FTP cable shielding benefits. Verify channel testing or certification when used in structured cabling to ensure full Cat 6A compliance across the link.
