Καλώδιο Patch Draka Comteq HP-FTP Cat6 κόκκινο 0,5 m

The Draka Comteq HP-FTP Cat6 patch cable in red, length 0.5 m, provides a compact and identifiable connection solution for horizontal and patch-panel networking. Constructed with Foil-shielded UTP (F/UTP) design, the cable reduces external electromagnetic interference and preserves signal integrity for applications that require reliable Gigabit Ethernet performance. The red jacket aids in quick visual identification within rack, office, or home network installations.

Advantages

The F/UTP construction combines individual unshielded pairs with an overall foil shield to limit crosstalk and external noise, improving transmission stability in congested cabling environments. At Cat6 performance levels, the cable supports high-speed data transfer typical for modern LANs and networked devices. Its 0.5 m length and compact flexibility make it convenient for short-link connections behind switches, patch panels, and in dense equipment layouts while the red color enhances cable management and fault tracing.

Suitable for

• Short patch connections between switches, routers and patch panels
• Desktop or rack-mounted network equipment in offices and data closets
• Home network setups where identifiable cabling is required
• Environments with potential electromagnetic interference requiring shielded cabling

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6
• Shielding: F/UTP (foil screened overall, unshielded pairs)
• Length: 0.5 m
• Color: Red
• Typical use: Ethernet, Gigabit LAN
• Connector type: 8P8C (RJ45) terminated at both ends

How to use

Connect one RJ45 plug to the network device (switch, router, or computer) and the other to the corresponding port on the patch panel or network appliance. Ensure both connectors are fully seated until they click to secure the connection. Use the cable for short interconnects where flexibility and clear color identification are required. Avoid tight bending radii near the connectors and route the cable to minimize mechanical strain and potential damage to the foil shielding.

Recommendations

For best performance, keep cable runs within recommended lengths for patch links, avoid parallel routing with high-voltage power lines, and secure cables to prevent repeated flexing. When deploying in high-interference areas, ensure proper grounding practices for connected equipment and choose shielded patch panels or connectors if the installation calls for system-level shielding.
